Guelph Maibec Full Exterior Transformation
This full exterior renovation in Guelph completely transformed the home with premium Maibec wood siding, new soffit, fascia and eavestroughs, custom porch posts, LUX steel wood grain porch soffit, a custom patio door, new aluminum glass entry railing, pot lights and porch fan and upgraded attic insulation with new ventilation baffles. By completing the exterior as one coordinated project, we were able to improve the appearance, weather protection, ventilation and overall efficiency of the home.
Maibec Wood Siding Installation in Guelph
The main feature of this renovation was the installation of premium Maibec wood siding. Maibec provides the natural appearance and character of real wood while creating a high-end architectural finish. Careful attention was given to siding layout, corners, transitions, flashing and exterior openings to ensure a clean finished appearance and long-term protection from Ontario weather.
Tyvek Housewrap and Strapping
Before installing the new Maibec siding, the exterior was wrapped with Tyvek housewrap to create a continuous weather-resistant barrier around the home. All seams, penetrations and openings were carefully detailed and taped to help protect the wall assembly from wind-driven rain and air infiltration. New strapping was then installed over the Tyvek to create a proper drainage and ventilation cavity behind the siding. This helps moisture escape, improves airflow behind the exterior cladding and provides a solid fastening surface for the new Maibec siding.
Custom Porch Post Upgrades in Guelph
The front porch posts were updated to better complement the new Maibec exterior.
Updating these architectural details alongside the siding helped create a more complete and intentional appearance across the front elevation of the home.
Soffit, Fascia & Eavestrough Replacement in Guelph
The home will receive new soffit, fascia and seamless eavestroughs to complete the roofline and properly manage water drainage. The new soffit also improves airflow into the attic while the aluminum fascia protects the roof edges and creates a clean, low-maintenance finish.
Door replacement in Guelph
A custom patio door was installed to improve both the functionality and appearance of the home while creating a brighter, more open connection to the outdoor living space. The new door was carefully measured and fitted to the existing opening, with proper insulation, sealing, flashing, and finishing completed around the entire frame. Custom exterior aluminum capping was added for a clean, low-maintenance finish that integrates seamlessly with the surrounding exterior. The completed patio door provides improved energy efficiency, smooth operation, increased natural light, and a durable finished look designed to perform for years to come.
