Cambridge Soffit, Fascia, Eavestrough & Roof Repair Project
This exterior renovation in Cambridge focused on improving the home's roofline, drainage and overall appearance. The project included complete soffit, fascia and eavestrough replacement, custom aluminum fascia flashing on the gables, targeted roof repairs, the installation of a new roof cricket to improve water drainage, and new cedar porch posts at the front entrance.
By completing the roofline, drainage and exterior finishing together, we were able to address several problem areas while giving the home a cleaner and more complete finished appearance.
Soffit, Fascia and Eavestrough Replacement in Cambridge
The existing soffit, fascia and eavestrough system was removed and replaced with new exterior aluminum components.
The new soffit provides a clean finished underside along the roofline while also supporting proper airflow into the attic. New aluminum fascia was installed to protect the roof edges and create a durable, low-maintenance finish.
New seamless eavestroughs were installed to properly collect water from the roof and direct it through the downspout system and away from the home.
Replacing these components together allowed the entire roofline to be finished consistently while improving both drainage and long-term protection.
Roof Repair in Cambridge
During the project, areas of the existing roof required repair to correct water-management issues and improve the performance of the roofing system.
The affected sections were carefully opened, repaired and properly integrated back into the surrounding roof assembly.
Addressing these areas during the exterior renovation allowed us to correct the underlying issues instead of simply covering them with new exterior finishes.
Roof Cricket Installation for Improved Drainage
A new roof cricket was constructed and installed to improve drainage in an area where water was not flowing properly.
A roof cricket is designed to redirect water around an obstruction or away from a problem area so it can drain properly toward the eavestrough system.
The new cricket helps reduce standing water and directs rainfall and snowmelt away from vulnerable sections of the roof, improving the overall drainage of the roofing system and reducing the risk of future water infiltration.
